Meet the Team
Founder & President
Sarah Sonny
Sarah founded Through Our Eyes in October of 2021 with hopes of creating a public forum for all high school students. Sarah is also the Texas DECA District 7 President and the Vice President of her high school's DECA chapter. She has also placed 4th at the 2021 DECA International Career Development Conference and is an International Qualifier for the 2022 International Career Development Conference which will be held in Atlanta, Georgia. Sarah is the co-captain of her high school's varsity debate team in which she competes in Lincoln Douglas Debate, Congressional Debate, and Extemporaneous Speaking where she has set numerous school records. Additionally, Sarah is a senior-level Girl Scout currently working towards her Gold Award. In the future, she plans to become a neurosurgeon and publish a book.

Vice President
Riley McCain
Riley's responsibilities include: assisting Sarah with executive officer requirements, and helping to lead Through Our Eyes. He is currently a member of his high school's band program, which was recently invited as one of four high school bands from around the country to attend the prestigious annual Midwest Clinic in Chicago. Additionally, he is a music tutor and publicity coordinator with Rhythm in Place, a nonprofit organization giving low-income students free virtual music education during the ongoing global pandemic. Prior to his appointment as a private tutor, he directed and coordinated the Select Student Ensemble (SSE) while managing public relations and communications for the organization. Riley is a Certified Educator (Level 1) and enjoys spending free time with his two younger brothers and his friends.

AnneMarie Stammreich
Annie's responsibilities include: taking meeting notes at all meetings and uploading meeting information/recaps on the website. Annie is also a senior level girl scout, a DECA officer for her school's DECA chapter, and the project manager for Society of Women at her local Career and Technical Education Center.​

Historian
Garrett Brooks
Garrett's responsibilities include: reporting on events, taking pictures at events, and updating the website consistently with event information and pictures. Garrett is also a DECA officer for his high school's chapter and the Facilities Manager for the International Thespian Society troupe at his school.​

Chief Journalistic Officer
Sahasra Koya
Sahasra's responsibilities include: researching the monthly topic in-depth, helping create content regarding the topic of the month, and writing monthly articles over the topic that are informative and well researched. Sahasra is also volunteers by teaching people in China how to speak English and pursues art intently outside of school.

Chief Activities Officer
Shreya Enjeti
Shreya's responsibilities include: organizing events and meetings, contacting potential guests for lectures, and handling the tickets and RSVPs for events. Shreya is also a partner of a nonprofit youth club about mental health called You Are Enough. In the future, Shreya has plans to become a lawyer.
